Seychelles Travel Tips
When travelling to Seychelles, take these tips and tricks into account.
Wildlife and Scenery
When going on a wildlife safari, use a rental car to get the most out of the dynamic and effervescent Seychelles scenery. It allows you more freedom to stop and smell the coconuts. Visit the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens, where you’ll spot various endemic birds such as the Seychelles bulbul and blue pigeon amidst the lush forest trails.
Budgeting
While Seychelles is known to be one of the world’s most expensive destinations, you can utilise various budgeting tactics to offset the islands’ costs, such as buying food at local supermarkets, staying at Airbnb instead of a hotel, and walking around Seychelles’ abundance of nature and cultural sites. Transport-wise, it’s best to rent a car–public transport is crowded and doesn’t have luggage compartments.
Seychelles Car and Driving Etiquette
Gas stations in Seychelles are full service – an attendant will help you fill up your car. It’s nice to tip the attendant, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Cars drive on the left side of the road.
