In a dazzling display of Seychelles’ allure, Tourism Seychelles took the spotlight at FITUR 2024, becoming a beacon for global tourism’s dynamic growth.
At the 44th edition of this prestigious event held from January 24-28 at IFEMA Madrid, Tourism Seychelles captured the hearts of audiences, underscoring the dynamic evolution of the global tourism industry.
FITUR 2024 has set new records, hosting 9,000 companies from 152 countries with 806 exhibitors, solidifying its status as the premier global trade fair. The event expanded its international reach, including 20 countries compared to the previous year. With a commitment to fostering business relationships, FITUR dedicated three exclusive days to professionals, extending engagement opportunities with travellers over the weekend. Sustainability took centre stage, aligning with the industry’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
The event witnessed a substantial turnout, with 150,000 professional visitors during the weekdays and an additional 100,000 general public attendees over the weekend, generating heightened demand for Seychelles as a prime destination.
The significance of the Spanish market for Seychelles was highlighted at FITUR 2024, aligning with Tourism Seychelles’ emphasis on quality and sustainability. Mrs Bernadette Willemin, the Director General of Destination Marketing of Tourism Seychelles, expressed enthusiasm for the event, emphasising FITUR as a key tool for knowledge sharing, innovation, and promoting a more sustainable tourism model.

Tourism Seychelles celebrated collaboration with two major Destination Management Companies (DMCs), 7 Degrees South and Mason’s Travel.

Ms Amy Michel, Product and Sales Manager of Mason’s Travel, shared excitement about reconnecting with partners and fostering new relationships amid rising interest in Seychelles travel.
